The capital has more than one and a half centuries of history. There are hundreds of secluded places in the city that have their own legends, dozens of green parks, temples, monasteries, museums, theaters and other sights. Park bridge in Mariinsky park

The bridge overlooking the Dnieper and the left bank has five names, in addition to the formal one. At the beginning of the 20th century, it was the only crossing that connected the center and the Dnieper slopes. Due to the fragile design, the bridge swayed in strong winds, thanks to which it received the name “Devil’s Bridge”. After the reconstruction, it was renamed “Paton’s Bridge”, and after the institution of the tradition to fasten locks and ribbons to the railing, the bridge was called the “Kiss Bridge” or “The Bridge of Lovers”.

House with Chimeras

Architectural landmark of the city. The building in the Art Nouveau style has the second name “Gorodetsky House” in honor of the architect. The building has the shape of a cube and is located on a cliff. The impression of the exterior is enhanced by sculptures of various animals and monsters. Golden Gate

The main tower of the ancient Kiev was built in the 12th century, served as the only entrance to the city, was part of the defensive structure. The People’s Friendship Arch

In the evenings, the multicolored illumination turns on, which gives the arch a colorful look of a real rainbow.

Kiev-Pechersk Lavra

Volodymyrska Hill

One of the most popular parks among Kiev residents, created at the beginning of the 19th century, has 3 tiers.
